DCA (dollar-cost averaging)

Also written or said as: dollar cost averaging, averaging in, average down, averaging down

Buying in several smaller pieces over time instead of all at once.

Instead of putting 2 SOL into a coin in one go, you buy 0.5 SOL four times as it moves. It smooths your entry price on things you plan to hold. On a dying memecoin, averaging down only makes the loss bigger.

This guide is for learning. It is not financial advice. Most memecoins go to zero and most people who trade them lose money. Only ever trade what you can afford to lose.
