Pullback

Also written or said as: pull back, retrace, retracement, correction

A temporary drop after a rise, before the trend may carry on.

A coin goes from a $100,000 market cap to $300,000, drops back to $220,000, then climbs again: that drop was a pullback. Healthy runners often pull back and hold, while dying coins pull back and keep going. You only know which it was afterwards.
