Browser extension

Also written or said as: extension, wallet extension, chrome extension

A small add-on for a browser like Chrome, Brave or Firefox. On a computer, most crypto wallets run as one.

Wallets like Phantom install as an extension so websites can ask them to sign. Install only from the wallet's official website or the store link it points to, because fake wallet extensions that steal seed phrases are common. Check the publisher's name and the number of users before you click add.
