Bridge
Also written or said as: bridging, bridged, cross-chain
A service that moves tokens from one blockchain to another.
If your money is on Ethereum or Base and you want to trade on Solana, a bridge can carry it across. Bridges have been hacked many times and fake bridge sites are common, so use well-known ones from a bookmarked link. For a first purchase it is usually simpler to buy SOL on an exchange.
