Ladder

Also written or said as: laddering, tp ladder, take-profit ladder, scaling out, scale out

Selling (or buying) in steps at several prices instead of all at once.

A take-profit ladder might sell 25% at 2x, 25% at 3x, 25% at 5x and keep the last 25% as a moonbag. You will never sell the exact top, but you lock in profit on the way up instead of betting on one perfect exit. Many terminals and bots let you set a ladder in advance.
