Take profit
Also written or said as: tp, take-profit, taking profit, tps, took profit
Selling some or all of a coin after it has gone up, to lock in gains.
A take-profit can be done by hand or set as an automatic order, like 'sell 50% at 2x'. Profit on a screen is not profit until you sell, and memecoins can give it all back in minutes. Many experienced traders take profit in steps.
