P2P (peer to peer)
Also written or said as: peer to peer, p2p market, p2p trading, p2p merchant
Buying crypto straight from another person, usually through an exchange's P2P market.
You pay the seller by bank transfer or another method, and the exchange holds the crypto until both sides confirm. It can be cheaper than paying by card, and it is also where many payment scams happen. Keep every step inside the exchange's own P2P screen, and never deal with someone who messages you first.
