Vampire attack

Also written or said as: vampire attacks, vampire

A copy of a project or coin built to pull users, liquidity or holders away from the original.

The term comes from DeFi, where a new exchange would copy a rival and pay rewards to lure its liquidity across. In memecoins it is used for a new coin set up to drain buyers and attention from one that is already running, often a near-copy of it. The slang 'vamp' carries the same idea.

This guide is for learning. It is not financial advice. Most memecoins go to zero and most people who trade them lose money. Only ever trade what you can afford to lose.
