Cold wallet
Also written or said as: cold storage, ledger wallet, offline wallet
A wallet whose keys stay offline, usually on a small hardware device.
A cold wallet signs transactions on a device that never shows its key to your computer, so malware cannot simply copy it. It is the right home for savings but too slow for fast memecoin trading. Many traders keep most of their SOL cold and a small trading balance in a hot wallet.
