Honeypot

Also written or said as: honey pot, can't sell, cannot sell, sell blocked

A coin you can buy but cannot sell.

The token is set up so buys go through and sells fail, or sells are taxed down to nothing. On Solana that is usually done with an active freeze authority or Token-2022 settings like a transfer hook, a heavy transfer fee or a permanent delegate. pump.fun coins launch with these switched off, but coins created other ways can keep them, so check before you buy.
