Token-2022

Solana's newer token program, which supports optional extra features called extensions.

Many new coins, including pump.fun's, now use Token-2022 with only harmless extensions that store the name and picture. Other extensions can trap holders: a transfer fee can quietly tax every sell, a transfer hook can block sells, and a permanent delegate can take tokens from any wallet. When a coin uses Token-2022, check which extensions are switched on.
