KOL (key opinion leader)

Also written or said as: key opinion leader, kols, influencer, influencers

An influencer with a big following whose posts can move a coin's price.

When a KOL with 200,000 followers posts a contract address, buys can flood in within seconds. Many KOLs are paid to post, and many buy before posting, sometimes from alt wallets, then sell into their followers. Public KOL trackers log their wallets and trades, which is a good way to see who actually profits from the calls.

This guide is for learning. It is not financial advice. Most memecoins go to zero and most people who trade them lose money. Only ever trade what you can afford to lose.
