Narrative
Also written or said as: narratives, story, theme, narrative play
The story people tell about why a coin should go up.
A memecoin has no earnings, so the story is the product: a viral animal, a famous person's post, a news event, a joke everyone is in on. Strong narratives spread across X, TikTok and Telegram on their own, while weak ones need paid shills. Narratives fade, often within days, and the coin usually fades with them.
