Breakout
Also written or said as: breaking out, broke out, fake breakout
When price pushes through a level it kept failing at.
A coin stuck under a $1 million market cap for a day finally breaks through on heavy volume: that is a breakout. Traders often buy breakouts, and fake breakouts, where price pokes above the level and drops straight back, catch a lot of them. Strong volume behind the move is the usual tell.
