Disposition effect

Also written or said as: disposition bias

The habit of selling winners too early and holding losers too long.

Selling a winner feels good and selling a loser feels like admitting a mistake, so people do the first fast and put off the second. In memecoins that means small wins and big losses, which adds up to losing money. Take-profits and stop-losses decided before you buy are the usual fix.

This guide is for learning. It is not financial advice. Most memecoins go to zero and most people who trade them lose money. Only ever trade what you can afford to lose.
