Blockhash
Also written or said as: recent blockhash, expired blockhash, blockhash expired, block height exceeded
A recent block's ID that every Solana transaction carries. It works like a timestamp that expires.
A transaction is only valid for about 150 blocks after its blockhash, which in October 2026 is about half a minute. If it has not landed by then it is thrown away, which is one reason trades fail when the network is busy. Your app then has to send a fresh transaction, often at a different price.

This guide is for learning. It is not financial advice. Most memecoins go to zero and most people who trade them lose money. Only ever trade what you can afford to lose.
