Failed transaction

Also written or said as: failed tx, tx failed, failed trade, dropped transaction

A transaction that did not go through. You usually still pay its network fees.

Trades fail when the price moves past your slippage, when the network is busy and your fee is too low, or when the pool changes before your trade lands. Solana still charges the base and priority fee on a failed transaction. In a fast market a failed buy means you miss the coin, and a failed sell can leave you stuck in a falling one.
