Buyback

Also written or said as: buybacks, buy back, buy and burn

Using fees or a treasury to buy a coin on the market, often to burn what was bought.

Some launchpads and teams send part of their fees into buying a token, which adds steady buying and, if the tokens are burned, shrinks the supply. pump.fun's BOOST, added in July 2026, uses part of a graduating coin's liquidity to buy and burn its tokens in the first minutes. A buyback only helps while it lasts and while it is big compared with the selling.

This guide is for learning. It is not financial advice. Most memecoins go to zero and most people who trade them lose money. Only ever trade what you can afford to lose.
