pump.fun is the giant, but it is not the only place coins are born. Launchpads come and go quickly, and some that were famous in 2025 are nearly empty now. Here are the ones with real activity in late October 2026.

Engines and storefronts

Some names you see are full launchpads. Others are engines that many launchpads plug into. Two engines matter on Solana.

  • Raydium LaunchLab. Raydium's launch engine. Coins trade on a curve and graduate into a Raydium pool. Each launchpad built on it sets its own fees. BONK.fun and StonkFun run on it.
  • Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve (DBC). Meteora's launch engine. Coins graduate into a Meteora pool. A launchpad using it can shape its own curve and set fees that start high and fall over time, which makes buying in the first seconds expensive. Each launchpad on it also decides how much of the graduated pool stays locked, so check that before you trust the pool. Bags runs on it.

A DBC launchpad also picks how much buying it takes to graduate, and some set the bar so low that the first buy clears it. Bitquery counted DBC coins from November 2025 to October 2026: about three in four graduated, and 35% of all of them graduated on a single trade. Compare that with about 1 in 58 on pump.fun. On those launchpads, a graduated coin can still have almost no buyers.

Jupiter Studio and Moonshot still run too, but they see little trading next to these.

Where the traders actually are

The fees people pay are a good sign of where real trading happens. Here is the last month.

LaunchpadFees paid in the 30 days to 30 October 2026
pump.fun (its curves and its app)About $62 million
StonkFunAbout $10 million
BONK.funAbout $3.7 million
Meteora DBCAbout $3.1 million
BagsAbout $0.3 million
DefiLlama figures read on 30 October 2026. Each site's fees are counted a little differently, so treat them as rough. pump.fun's PumpSwap pools took about $107 million more on top.

Busy one year, empty the next

In mid 2025, BONK.fun briefly made more coins per day than pump.fun, and headlines said it had dethroned pump.fun. By August 2026, pump.fun was making about 90% of all new Solana tokens again. Believe, boop.fun and Heaven all got attention in 2025, and by late October 2026 DefiLlama shows almost no fees for any of them.

A launchpad's popularity is a trend like any other. Do not assume the platform you heard about last year is still where coins are made.

Other chains

Other blockchains have their own launchpads, such as Flap and four.meme on BNB Chain and Clanker on Base. The idea is the same everywhere: a curve, a graduation, a pool. This guide sticks to Solana.

Example

Same meme, two launchpads

A creator launches the same meme twice: once on pump.fun, and once on a Meteora DBC launchpad that starts its trading fee high and lowers it over the first minutes.

  1. Step 1: On pump.fun, a sniper's buy in the first second pays the normal 1.25% curve fee.
  2. Step 2: On the DBC launchpad, the same first-second buy pays the much higher starting fee that launchpad chose, which eats into the sniper's head start.
  3. Step 3: That does not make the second coin safe. It only changes who wins the first seconds. The creator, the holders and the meme still decide the rest.

How to compare launchpads

  • Where does the coin graduate, and is the pool's money locked or burned after that?
  • How much buying does a coin need before it graduates? On some launchpads a graduation badge means very little.
  • What does each trade cost, on the curve and after graduation?
  • Who gets the fees: the creator, the holders, the platform, a token buyback?
  • How big can the creator's first buy be? StonkFun, for example, lets a creator buy up to half the supply in one transaction.
  • Is anyone actually trading there this month?

This guide is for learning. It is not financial advice. Most memecoins go to zero and most people who trade them lose money. Only ever trade what you can afford to lose.
