Market maker
Also written or said as: mm, market making, market makers
A firm or bot that keeps buying and selling a token to keep its market active.
On big exchanges market makers keep prices smooth. With memecoins the term often means paid services that trade a coin back and forth to keep its chart and volume alive, which shades into wash trading. Very regular, same-sized trades on a small coin are a hint that one is at work.
