Network fee

Also written or said as: transaction fee, tx fee, solana fee, fees

The small fee every Solana transaction pays to be processed.

The base fee is 5,000 lamports (0.000005 SOL) per signature: half is burned and half goes to the validator. Most trades add a priority fee and often a tip to get through faster, and that is where the real cost sits. The fee is charged even when a transaction fails.
