SPL token
Also written or said as: spl, spl tokens, token program, solana token
The standard format for tokens on Solana.
Every memecoin on Solana is an SPL token: one mint account that defines the token, plus a token account for each wallet that holds it. Both the original token program and the newer Token-2022 make SPL tokens. The first time your wallet holds a new token, it pays a small refundable deposit called rent.
